The Beaded Cowl Intermediate Knitting Class (Adults Only)

In this three-part class for adults only held on site at The Stitchery (1-2721 Bur Oak Avenue, Markham, Ontario), advanced knitting experience is required to cast on and off, knit, purl and slip passed stitches over. Adding glass beads will make this an extra special cowl to have in your possession. A crochet hook will provided in class to assist in placing the beads but will be required for you complete the project at home.

Margje Enting has designed an elegant accessory with a touch of understated glamour that’s perfect for socialising outdoors on cooler evenings. The Beaded Cowl is made with Scheepjes Woolly Whirlette, a luxurious blend of 30% Wool and 70% Cotton that’s fully twined to avoid splitting for fast and pleasurable knitting. Experienced lace knitters will find this an easy project to complete in a weekend and the memorable pattern repeat makes it most achievable for anyone wanting to try beaded lace knitting for the first time. 

All materials including pattern, 40 cm 3.0mm bamboo circular needle, Gutermann seed beads 6-0 size, a stitch marker and Woolly Whirlette in your choice of three colours will be provided and included in the cost of the class.

In this three part class, 2 hours for the first class, 1 hour for the subsequent classes which will be booked during the first class, we will cast on, work through part of the ribbing and demonstrate the beading technique and in the second class of one hour do a check in/check up and in the last class finish the ribbing and work on the cast off the stitches in pattern.

Classes are held Monday to Saturday, during the day or evening. You can choose to arrange the class time prior to purchase with the store or upon purchase of the class contact the store to arrange a mutually convenient class time. All classes are held on site 1-2721 Bur Oak Avenue and can have a maximum of 4 participants per class.  If purchasing for two or more, a discount of $10 a person is applied to the cost. Only registered participants may come to the class. 

Please note that a confirmation email is sent to the email address used to register for the class to arrange a mutually convenient time for the class. All classes must be paid for 48 hours prior to the class time in order to reserve the time. If payment is not made by 48 hours prior to your agreed upon class time the class time must be rebooked. Sometimes this email ends up in your junk mail so please check there for any email communication from the store once you have made a purchase of a class.

If you cannot attend your registered class time, please contact the shop 24 hours prior to arrange a new class time. No exchanges or refunds will be offered for missed classes.
