In this three-part crochet class for adults only held on site at The Stitchery (1-2721 Bur Oak Avenue, Markham, Ontario), you will make a magical Amigurumi unicorn. A knowledge of basic crochet skills is a must including sc, sc2tog, hdc, ss, st and yoh. If you have read those and don't know what any of them mean, please sign up for the introduction to crochet class before signing up for this one.
The beautiful Unicorn, designed by Monika Miszczuck, is a magical Amigurumi design perfect for a beginner crocheter. Made using Scheepjes Catona yarn, this design is finished with a brilliant, natural sheen, whilst being perfect for use by children and those with a delicate touch.
In this three-part class (the first class will a two-hour session to get you started, the second will be a one hour check in/check up class, the third will be a one hour class the finishing. The second and subsequent classes will be booked at the first class for mutually convenient times) you will start and finish the unicorn. All materials will be provided including the pattern, a 2.5mm Clover Amour Crochet Hook, 1 ball of 50g Catona in Snow White, 1 ball of 25 g Catona in Icy Pink, 1 ball of 25 g Catona in Light Orchid, stuffing and 3 stitch markers. In order to register for this class you need to have taken either the Introduction to Crochet Class, the Introduction to Amigurumi Class or reach out to the store to determine if you should register for this class.
Classes are held Monday to Saturday, during the day or evening. You can choose to arrange the class time for the first class prior to purchase with the store or upon purchase of the class contact the store to arrange a mutually convenient class time. Maximum of 4 (aged 12+) participants per class. If purchasing for two or more, a discount of $10 a person applied to the cost. Only registered participants may come to the class. For any class where the participant is a child age 12-16 they must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class. The adult does not need to participate in the class, but they must be present.
Please note that a confirmation email is sent to the email address used to register for the class to arrange a mutually convenient time for the class. All classes must be paid for 48 hours prior to the class time in order to reserve the time. If payment is not made by 48 hours prior to your agreed upon class time the class time must be rebooked. Sometimes this email ends up in your junk mail so please check there for any email communication from the store once you have made a purchase of a class.
If you cannot attend your registered class time, please contact the shop 24 hours prior to arrange a new class time. No exchanges or refunds will be offered for missed classes.
